The Story Behind My Little Corner of the World

This is one of my first two corner paintings which I created at the same time.

A corner painting is a painting designed to hang inside a corner, projecting in both directions at a 90 degree angle. I came up with this idea because I saw unused space, space that could use some literal or figurative brightening up. Many people hang something in the middle of a wall and there is nothing in the corner. In fact, many people think of corners as dark or dirty. I want to change that and use my corner paintings to give joy when one looks in the corner.
